Winston Churchill famously said never had so much been owed by so many to so few and with out question he was right and everyone one the side of defeating the nazis should agree we all owe the brave men women and children who all did there part regardless of there nationality a massive debt of gratitude.

I write this from a person gown up in the west. I am aware that we ate not perfect far from it but I probably naively think that everyone wants the best for everyone else.

Boy was I wrong there is a saying absolute power corrupts absolutely and looking at the world today the leaders fill me with nothing but disappointment and shame and yes that does include the leaders of my country, they strut around on the world stage throw there toys out of there prams try to be mr big mr tough and who suffers the consequences of there actions. You and me, your friends my friends, your family my family, so many people affected by one person.

My philosophy at least for the moment turn that on it’s head if one person can affect so much be that one person for better hold the door open for the next person smile nod be polite help the people who need help. If one person can make many people suffer maybe one person can bring an once of happiness a slither of light in someone’s darkness. Why not if one can destroy then surely one can build.
